Economical aluminium paint to give solar reflective properties to felt, concrete, steel and more.
Rate of use guide: 5-10m² per litre
A solvent-based bituminous aluminium paint, which provides a bright silver finish. Contains a high proportion of quality leafing grade aluminium flake.
For the protection against sun and weathering of roofs and walls, particularly where bituminous surfaces, exposed steel and corrugated iron surfaces are encountered.
Specific Gravity: 0.95 ± 0.02
Flash Point: 38°C
Water Resistance: Resistant to water when dried.
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to most salt solutions. NOT RESISTANT to acids, alkalis, and solvents. Drying Time: 1 - 2 hours, depending upon weather conditions.
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease, dust and loose debris. Freshly applied bituminous surfaces should be allowed to weather for at least 2-3 weeks before application of the Aluminium Paint.
STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Note: The appearance of a silver film on the surface of the paint after a short period of stirring does not signify that the paint is thoroughly uniform. It is advisable to stir for several minutes to ensure complete dispersion. Preference should be given to mechanical stirring. Apply by brush, spray or roller.
Apply in two coats waiting for the first coat to dry before
Applying the second coat.
To avoid staining it is important that the Multiflect is not applied too thickly. Do not brush excessively as this can cause softening of the substrate and leave a patchy finish.
Do not apply under damp or humid conditions or when rain, frost or overnight dew is threatened before the paint is dry.
Approx. 10 m2 per litre per coat on smooth surfaces. Approx. 5 - 8m2 on porous or rough surfaces.
Keep lid tightly sealed. Store in a cool dry place away from sources of ignition. Do not allow water to contaminate the Aluminium Paint.
Use white spirit or paraffin.
